Terra Linda Outdoor Transformation

A backyard reimagined for outdoor living and everyday use.

This Terra Linda project brought together concrete work, fencing, outdoor amenities, lighting, and landscaping improvements to transform multiple areas around the home.

The Terra Linda Outdoor Transformation extended beyond a single backyard feature. Chendo & Sons completed improvements around the front, sides, and rear of the property, combining new concrete surfaces with a custom outdoor barbecue, redwood fencing, lighting, an outdoor shower, and irrigation improvements.

Rebuilding the Outdoor Surfaces

The project began with the demolition of existing cement in front of, behind, and along the sides of the home. This created the foundation for new concrete improvements throughout the property.


Chendo & Sons poured a new driveway, pathways, and backyard slab using stamped and colored concrete. Together, these surfaces created updated areas for access, movement, and everyday outdoor use.

Adding Redwood Fencing Around the Property

Fencing was another important part of the outdoor renovation. Chendo & Sons constructed a cement footing for a redwood fence and also built a shorter redwood fence in the front yard.


These additions brought the fencing work together with the project's broader concrete and exterior improvements.

Creating an Outdoor Barbecue Area

A custom outdoor barbecue was constructed to add a dedicated feature for cooking and gathering outside. The barbecue was finished with stone and incorporated LED lighting around the structure.


By including the barbecue within the larger renovation, the project combined practical outdoor improvements with features designed for enjoying the backyard.

Bringing Light to the Outdoor Paths

Lighting was incorporated throughout the exterior improvements to support the newly renovated areas. Chendo & Sons installed LED light strips around the pathways as part of the project.


Additional LED lighting around the outdoor barbecue helped connect the lighting plan with the property's new outdoor features.

Adding an Outdoor Shower

The remodel also included construction of an outdoor shower, adding another functional element to the improved exterior space.


Rather than focusing solely on concrete and landscaping, the project brought several different outdoor features together to support how the homeowners could use the property.

Updating the Irrigation System

A new irrigation system was installed as part of the exterior improvements. The system included sprinklers and a timer to support the landscaped areas around the property.


Coordinating irrigation with the other outdoor work allowed this functional improvement to become part of the larger transformation.
